The world's first sterile sericulture system
We raise silkworms with a sterile food that is produced using mulberry leaves as the raw material, so our Cordyceps is safe with no residual heavy metals. Cordyceps militaris is harvested from natural cordyceps, and only carefully-selected Cordyceps militaris XIA001strains are used.
Culture method for Cordyceps
This explanation uses natural insect culture by Japan Silk-Bio R&D as an example. In this culture method, a chrysalis is infected with the fungus, and is used as the medium to grow Cordyceps in the same way as during natural development. Japan Silk-Bio R&D employs the chrysalides of sterile silkworms grown by the sterile sericulture system.

Difference between a variety of culture methods of Cordyceps products
The description "Cordyceps sinensis mycelium" suggests that the product has been obtained by artificially culturing the mycelium (fungal roots) in synthetic medium. With this method, identification of the species is difficult because carpophores (consisting of the pileus and stipe) or spores are not formed. In addition, it is not clear whether a product cultured with cereal medium as an alternative to insect culture would have the same ingredients as authentic Cordyceps sinensis, because it would lack insect components.
